Sony set to release Glacier White PlayStation 4 model

11 Jan 2017

A new colour has been announced for the PlayStation 4 console. Soon gamers will be able to buy it in "Glacier White".  Sony announced today that the Glacier White PlayStation 4 will be available later this year in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. For us in New Zealand and Australia, the release date for the console is January 25th.  Gamers in Europe, Australia and New Zealand only get the new console with a 500GB hard drive, In Japan, the console releases in late February and they get both the 500GB and 1TB models.  The price of the new Glacier White PS4 is NZD $489.95. It should be available at participating retailers. The console itself is based off of the PS4 Slim model. It's not based off of the PS4 Pro so you won't be able to play games in 4K.  Lastly, it's worth mentioning this new console also comes shipped with a Glacier White DUALSHOCK 4 controller. 2017 is the perfect time to buy a PS4 as there are lots of great games coming out later this year.
