FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ubisoft has unveiled a new trailer detailing the co-op feature in Splinter Cell: Conviction. Players will assume the roles of a Russian agent named Kestral and an American agent called Archer. The co-op missions will serve as a prologue to the singer player campaign.

Co-op designer Patrick Redding told 1up.com that the cooperative gameplay “is a lot more about bursts of intense action swinging back into stealth and using stealth as a tool. It's less about being invisible and more about being predatory”.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is scheduled for release in New Zealand on February 26th 2010.
