Stipple is about to fire up a crazy consumer frenzy online, if it takes off. The service, which started off as a way to tag people in photos no matter where on the web the photo was hosted, has the potential to turn every online photo into a storefront.
Not content with allowing users just to tag people, Stipple allows products and clothes to be tagged also. And when they are, by mousing over an unobtrusive dot the user can opt to add the associated item to a 'want' list - effectively saving it to view later - or straight out purchase the item.
If you can't imagine yet how it works, it's probably just easier to watch this video.
