SUPER MONKEY BALL: BANANA BLITZ
Wed, 1st Nov 2006
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is the latest installment in Sega’s quirky and addictive puzzler starring brightly coloured simians in translucent balls. Control in the game hovers somewhere between a very intuitive use of the Wii controller and a method you’ll have to practice a bit. As with the previous titles in the series, you’re manipulating the environment and not your monkey, so you’ll have to twist and tilt the Wii-mote accordingly. Banana Blitz’s graphics were in tune with the different themed environments (including Egyptian deserts, icy tundras, pirate ships, volcanic pools, and outer space).and remained true to the game’s hypercute style. The monkeys, both old and new, look sharp as they roll in their balls… (hard not to insert a pun here)Also - for the first time, monkey AiAi and his friends will have the ability to jump when players flick the Nintendo Wii remote in an upward motion (opening the doors to all sorts of new level challenges fans haven’t seen before). Banana Blitz will also feature 50 great new Party Games, which have been creatively designed to take advantage of the Wii remote in a multitude of ways. Gamers will find themselves competing in games such as “Ring Toss”, fighting aliens in space with “Alien Attack”, or even smacking pesky moles in a game of “Whack-a-Mole.” Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz’s large library of Party Games is sure to inspire friendly competition anytime.
