With less than a year to go until Telecom's CDMA network is shut down, the telco is tempting customers to switch to its new XT network with a special phone & internet package, including its lowest ever mobile calling rate.

The new Total Home Mobile package costs $99 per month for users in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and $109 for those in smaller areas.

The XT portion of the package includes calling to landlines and mobiles for 29c per minute, plus 300 text messages a month. Customers also receive home line usage, plus 20GB of broadband internet.
