FYI, this story is more than a year old
Vodafone is sending a text to all its customers reminding them of the law change which bans drivers from making cellphone calls unless they have a hands-free kit.Head of corporate responsibility Tom Newitt says Vodafone wholeheartedly supports the introduction of the new law, which comes into effect on 1 November. “We want to encourage our customers to be safe by turning off their mobiles while driving, or pulling over to take a call. Texts are a great way to get a personal message to all our customers.”
