Thermomix TM7 debuts in Australia & NZ with new features

Yesterday

Vorwerk Group has launched the Thermomix TM7 in Australia and New Zealand, making them the first countries outside Europe to offer the latest version of the multifunction kitchen appliance.

The TM7 was first introduced in Berlin in February 2025, and its arrival in Australia and New Zealand marks the beginning of the international rollout for the product. The decision to select these markets was based on the strength and engagement of the Thermomix community in the region as well as the company's market position and growth potential in Australasia.

"Thermomix is the centre of culinary experiences for many people – and we owe this above all to the close exchange with our community. More than 116,000 consultants worldwide – together with our customers and employees – are shaping our world's largest direct sales community for high-quality household appliances," Dr. Thomas Stoffmehl, Speaker of the Executive Board of the Vorwerk Group, said.

The Thermomix TM7 introduces a range of new features compared to previous models. One prominent change is the incorporation of a 10-inch multi-touch display designed to improve usability and provide seamless integration between the Thermomix device and the Cookidoo digital recipe platform. The larger screen aims to offer tablet-like functionality and enhanced readability in the kitchen environment.

An updated "digital twin" function provides real-time mirroring of user actions such as ingredient weighing and step-by-step guidance. This feature is intended to support users throughout the cooking process for what the company describe as "an unmatched user experience."

Other updates include a more powerful and quieter motor, an insulated bowl designed to remain cool to the touch, and a newly designed Varoma with a 45% increase in capacity, targeting users interested in family meals and batch cooking. The mixing bowl now features a plissé pattern for improved scratch resistance and quieter operation as well as aesthetics.

The TM7 also features an "Open Cooking" mode, made possible by a fresh locking mechanism that allows the appliance to cook with the lid off. This is characterised by Vorwerk as a significant technical update that expands the range of dishes users can prepare using the device.

The Cookidoo platform, bundled with the TM7, offers access to over 100,000 guided recipes. According to Vorwerk, "perfect results are guaranteed when using Guided Cooking - no matter what ingredients are used." Personalised user profiles and customisable recipes are available through Cookidoo, and the device can be integrated with smartphones and PCs to further improve the cooking experience with digital planning tools and personal recommendations.

Sustainability considerations have also been built into the new TM7. The company describes the appliance's black design as both a stylistic choice and a reflection of Vorwerk's commitment to environmental sustainability, with approximately 30% recycled materials incorporated into the device.

Vorwerk has maintained its direct sales approach for the TM7, with the product being available exclusively through Thermomix consultants at a price of AUD $2,649 in Australia and NZD $2,849 in New Zealand. This continues the company's established sales and distribution model, which prioritises direct relationships with customers and ongoing engagement with its user community.

Production for key components of the TM7, such as the motor, continues to take place at Vorwerk's facility in Wuppertal-Laaken, Germany, while final assembly occurs in France. Vorwerk notes that this combination of "German precision and French skilled craftsmanship underlines Thermomix's dedication to excellence and sustainability in European production."

Vorwerk said that the experiences, feedback and requests from its global Thermomix user base have contributed to the development and design of the TM7.

"The experiences, suggestions and wishes of the constantly growing Thermomix worldwide community are continuously incorporated into the further development of the Thermomix," the company stated.

With the launch of the TM7, Australia and New Zealand become the first markets outside of Europe to receive the latest Thermomix appliance. Over eight million units of the previous TM6 model have been sold worldwide, reflecting the company's longstanding presence in the smart kitchen segment globally and in the local region.

The international rollout of the TM7 will continue in other regions following its debut in Australia and New Zealand.
