FYI, this story is more than a year old

TomTom has released a new update of its navigation app for iPhone, designed to take full advantage of the larger screen on the iPhone 5.

Optimised to run in full-screen mode, TomTom says the update enables iPhone 5 users to see more of the map when driving with the new larger screen, with menu and search screens enhanced so drivers can see more options and search results.

Fully functional with or without signal, offline maps mean drivers will stay connected to accurate, reliable and up-to-date navigation wherever they go.

And, unlike other navigation apps, they won’t incur costly roaming charges when navigating abroad.

Pricing and Availability

The latest version of the app is available now as a free download to customers with an earlier version of the app.

For new customers, the New Zealand app can be purchased for $94.99 at the Apple App Store. The HD Traffic subscription is priced at $9.99 for a one-month subscription and NZD $49.99 for a one-year subscription.
