FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ubisoft has announced Fighters Uncaged for Xbox 360 and Kinect: a fighting title that "will deliver players the excitement of real fighting competitions in addition to teaching players mixed martial arts techniques".

According to the press release from Ubisoft, players can create 70 different strikes and compete in 21 different environments (from a dark alley to an abandoned church). Players can also upgrade their characters, unlock new skilss, and even invite a friend to join in locally in order to take down your opponents, who will be diverse in both appearance and fighting style.

"Fighters Uncaged is the first motion fighting game for Microsoft Kinect dedicated to a core audience," said Caroline Stevens, EMEA brand director at Ubisoft. "Fighters Uncaged requires players to get out of their seat to engage in a controller-free full-body combat game and experience the authentic fighting style of Thai boxing."

Fighters Uncaged is due for release worldwide on an unspecified date in November.
