Video: How safe are you online?

Earlier this week cosmetics company Lush pulled its New Zealand website down after a cyber attack compromised customer card details.

While Lush advised customers to cancel their cards, it goes to show that it’s not always the fault of the user when it comes to online crime.

Lush clearly should have had better security in place, especially after the UK website was hacked a few weeks ago.

But what can you do to keep yourself as guarded as possible from online threats? And just how safe is social media?

Below, Martin Cocker, Executive Director of NetSafe, offers his advice on how to keep safe online.
