Vodafone cuts calling for Christmas

The telecommunications market is heating up leading into the Christmas season, with Vodafone today announcing both on-account and prepay mobile customers can call any Vodafone mobile, national landline, or landlines in 30 popular countries and talk for 2 hours for no more than $2.Vodafone fixed line customers will also be able to call any national landlines or landlines in 30 countries for the same rate.Vodafone’s Dave Gutteridge, general manager of consumer marketing, says it is important for people to stay in touch over Christmas – adding there was “no excuse” not to call loved ones this holiday season.Customers on prepay and on-account won’t have to do anything to receive the offer.Vodafone is also releasing a Prepay Mobile Broadband offer, priced at $99. The offer includes a high-speed Vodem Stick and free SIM. It comes loaded with one month credit to purchase a 512MB bundle.
