WD TV now available in New Zealand
The WD TV offers a slightly different spin on playback of computer-based video, audio and photo files. Rather than being an all-in-one solution, it just handles playback duties and relies on you to plug in a USB-connected storage solution, whether it's a USB flash drive or external hard drive.
Pros: There are plenty of connection options, from Composite all the way up to HDMI. The interface was easy to control with the tiny supplied remote control.
Cons: For whatever reason, our review sample wanted to default to NTSC, which could cause problems with older TVs. The remote is tiny (and therefore rather easily lost), but also feels very cheap and is somewhat unresponsive.
Verdict: A good budget way to transfer photo, music and video to your TV from your PC.
