Microsoft has said that from today Windows 7 Service Pack 1 will be available to everyone via the Microsoft Download Centre and Windows Update.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is an update that helps keep your PCs supported by provides ongoing improvements to the operating system.

SP1 includes previous updates delivered via Windows Update as well as incremental updates to the Windows 7 platform “based on customer and partner feedback”.

Microsoft says SP1 also makes it easy for organisations to deploy a single set of updates.
