Xero's mobile accounting app, Xero Touch, is now available on Apple's app store, four months after its general online release.

Available free, the official version boasts a few new features, the most notable of which is the ability to take photos of receipts and attach them directly to expense records.

The app also now only requires a four-digit PIN to access, and runs faster because it is stored on the device, Xero says.

Users can access the app on iPhone and iPod touch, as well as the iPad, which also supports Xero's full software.

Xero's Philip Fierlinger says in a blog entry that Xero is now working on getting a version of the app onto the Android store.
