Just as single-vendor environments are exceedingly rare, so too are single-cloud environments unlikely to be encountered in the IT user population. With most organisations sourcing the software, infrastructure and other services from public and private cloud providers, multi-cloud environments are considered the rule rather than the exception. Multi-cloud delivers greater flexibility with a wider array of services available to the customer, but has the disadvantage of more complex management across multiple providers.
