"The Friday you've waited all year for…"

That's the teasing line coming from Cupertino, where Apple is expected to hold a one-day shopping event offering product discounts for customers.

Set for this coming Friday, November 29, the event falls in line with the annual "Black Friday" shopping holiday, the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in America - when most retailers offer sales and discounts ahead of the xmas season.

While Apple has yet to reveal the exact products up for discount, the company's website shows iPads with green smart covers and Apple EarPods.

The message, sent via email, advises customers:

"The one-day Apple shopping event is this Friday, November 29. Browse the Apple Online Store now for great gift ideas.

"Then shop online on Friday, starting from 2:01 am NZDT, and get free shipping."

Apple does state however that shopping event prices are solely available on 29 November, 2013, from 2:01 a.m. to 30 November, 2013 1:59 a.m. NZST.
