BioWare has announced the identities of Mass Effect 2's celebrity voice actors, including both new and returning stars.

The role of Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now, The West Wing) has already been revealed as the “Illusive Man”, the leader of the secretive paramilitary organisation Cerberus; Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) takes the role of a deadly Cerberus agent.

Battlestar Galactica stars Tricia Helfer and Michael Hogan play the voices of the new Normandy and Captain Bailey respectively; Carrie-Ann Moss (The Matrix)  has been cast as the crime lord Aria T'Loak; Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Saddam star and 2009 Emmy Award-winner) as Admiral Shala'Raan vas Tonbay; Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Chuck) portrays Kal 'Reegar; and Michael Dorn (“Worf” in Star Trek: Deep Space 9) takes on the role of Gatatog Uvenk

Actors Seth Green (Austin Powers) and Keith David (The Chronicles of Riddick) return to their roles from Mass Effect as Joker and Admiral David Anderson.

“Emotionally engaging narrative is a key design pillar for BioWare, and the top-notch voice talent in Mass Effect 2 helps drive this goal,” said BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka “Credible, powerful personalities are vital to delivering a compelling story experience in BioWare’s games, and we have assembled an amazing ensemble cast that surpasses the very high bar set in the original Mass Effect!

Mass Effect 2 will release for Xbox 360 and PC on January 28th.
