EA has announced it sold 5 million units of highly anticipated game Battlefield 3 in its first week on sale.
The game garnered more than 8 million players during its open beta test in October, with 47 billion shots fired, 1.5 billion kills registered and 21 million M-COM stations destroyed.
The question now is how the game will fare once its main competitor, Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, comes out on November 8.
Check out our impressions of the Battlefield 3 beta here, and keep an eye out for full reviews of both games coming very soon!
