EA: We're not pulling out of New Zealand
Last week it was reported that EA had closed its New Zealand office and that all future operations would be conducted from its Australian office.
EA has confirmed this is not the case to Game Console.
"I can confirm that we are not pulling out of New Zealand," EA spokesperson Bryan Inglis told Game Console, who said that last week's stories had been published without confirming the details with anyone within EA.
"We don't have an official statement as there is no change to the existence of our office locally," Inglis added.
There is a structural change in progress though.
"We're making some organisational changes to our packaged goods publisher business. We're building a consolidated regional team in Sydney to provide better business efficiencies and synergies across markets," Inglis continued.
"We are maintaining a small team in New Zealand and will continue to work with our top customers to bring EA's line up to market.
