Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Q&A revealed
November sees the release of this year’s biggest game on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. The next instalment in the popular Elder Scrolls series, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will present players with the largest game-world of 2011.
Like its predecessors Morrowind and Oblivion, Skyrim promises to provide hour upon hour of fantasy role-playing gaming goodness to those brave enough to enter its realm.
Publisher, Bethesda Softworks, unveiled the game at this year’s E3. The game is set in Skyrim, the northern province of Tamriel, two hundred years after the events of Oblivion. Utilising a specially written, state-of-the art game engine, players will once more be immersed in an epic world of swords, sorcery, dragons and adventure.
To further shed light on what players can expect in November, Bethesda asked the fans for their questions and put them to the game’s designers.
The Q&A reveals the game designers approach of not fixing what wasn’t broken in Oblivion whilst taking on board lesion learnt whilst making Fallout 3. Though a guarded answer, it seems that players will have some sort of transformation ability similar to the previous games. Players can make friends with characters in the game who will in turn behave differently, maybe even joining the player on his journey. Players will also be able to get married and move in with their in-game spouse. The less socially well- adjusted will enjoy the in-game bar brawl feature.
