Kiwi event marketing platform Eventfinder has launched across the Tasman, attracting 4000 events in just its first two weeks.
Launched in 2006, Eventfinder allows event promoters to list and manage events for free, making its money from premium placement, newsletter marketing and ticketing services.
Michael Turner, chief executive of Eventfinder, says the uptake has far exceeded expectations.
"It only took 10 days for the site to attract more than 1500 visitors a day," Turner says.
"That's extraordinary considering we haven't done any marketing yet."
Turner says the company will also look at launching in the United States and South-East Asia, once it has gained traction in Australia.
