Harry Potter gets his violence on
Daniel Radcliffe (known for Harry Potter) is set to play the Grand Theft Auto creator in a BBC film. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe is to play Sam House who is the creator of the famous Grand Theft Auto video game series. The film will focus on House and his fight between a Miami lawyer that wanted to ban video game violence. That lawyer was none other than the infamous Jack Thompson. Ever since the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Thompson has critcised violent video games for teaching children how to be killers. Thompson has tried to sue Rockstar Games multiple times, however he got disbarred in 2008 for "inappropriate conduct". The movie is based on a book called "Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto" written by David Kushner. It will be directed by Owen Harris. James Wood is to pen the script with Jim Spencer serving as the producer. No other actors aside from Radcliffe have been named yet. The movie is to be start filming on April 20th. There is no release date for the movie yet.
