iBuyPower Steam Machine is officially coming...
Mon, 6th Jan 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

It is widely rumoured that at this year's CES convention in Las Vegas, which starts tomorrow, there will be a large amount of Steam machine information being unveiled.

Most information surrounding the specifications of the machines is now well-known, but what is not known is who will be producing their own Steam machines and at what price?

The first manufacturer out of the starting gate will be iBuyPower.

The company plan to produce a Steam machine roughly the same size as a PlayStation 4 and smaller than an Xbox One, which will include a multi-core AMD Cpu, 500GB hard drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card - according to Steam First.

The Graphics card alone retails for around US $180 so if iBuyPowers Steam machine keeps to the RRP of US $499 it could very well eat into the market share of the Xbox One and potentially the PS4.

Will you be purchasing a Steam machine and do you agree or disagree with the concept? Tell us your thoughts below
