Minecraft on Xbox One releasing this week

Microsoft has just announced that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be made available this Friday.

From September 5th (this Friday), Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be available to download on the Xbox Marketplace. The full game can be yours to own for $24.95 in New Zealand.

Minecraft fans that own the Xbox 360 version of the game are in luck. You guys don't have to pay full price if you want the upgrade to the Xbox One version. If you want to upgrade, you only have to pay $7.45. You have to own the the retail disc or digital version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and connect to Xbox Live with their account for the upgrade offer.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition includes a game world that is 36 times larger than the Xbox 360 version. All DLC purchased from the Xbox 360 version can be transferred to the Xbox One edition.

For gamers that like to play with friends, four player split-screen is available as well as eight players via Xbox Live.
