FYI, this story is more than a year old

The Apple store has reported a slow improvement on iPad mini shipment wait times over the past few weeks, getting the request to within 1-3 business days.

Yet the joy is short-lived for anybody outside of America, with the reduced time only applicable inside the U.S.

European stores on the other hand are experiencing longer timeframes, despite improvements and a new time of 3-5 business days for the product.

That beats previous waits of two weeks for the device, while the rest of the world are still waiting around 3-5 business days.

Kiwis were the first on the planet to get their hands on the new release in November last year, with the product exceeding initial supply within days of its release.

And while it seems the backlog is slowly improving, according to Apple executives, the tech giant expects to finally strike a healthy supply and demand balance on the product by the end of the March quarter.
