FYI, this story is more than a year old

Sony has announced that "nearly 30" 3D-enabled titles will release on the PlayStation 3 this year, alongside other interesting tidbits pertaining to an increasing demand for 3D content.

Via the PlayStation Blog, a graphic claims that "nearly 30" 3D titles will be available by the end of 2011, including Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, MLB 11: The Show, SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals and Killzone 3.

Also highlighted in the graphic is that 20% of Killzone 3 single-player demo downloads took advantage of its 3D offering. A list of other, non-gaming 3D content available on the system has also been provided, along with the fact that there were 83,000 downloads of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3D Experience Exclusive Sneak Peek. PlayStation 3 consoles around the world gained the ability to play media content in 3D via a firmware upgrade in June last year.
