Only one month to go until The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

FYI, this story is more than a year old

It's only a month to go until the release of possibly the most ambitious action-RPG ever made, The Witcher 3: Wild hunt.

To wet our appetites developer CD Projekt RED has release yet another glorious gameplay trailer showing players what they have in store for them when the game is release on May 19th.

The Wild Hunt continues the tale of the witcher, Geralt of Rivia- monster hunter for hire, as he searches for The Child of Prophesy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world. Promising in excess of 100 hours of gameplay, the game thrusts players into a vast open-world to be explored at their leisure embanking on quests and challenges in an unprecedented non-linear manner.

In the game players will journey across the Northern Realms, a vast continent filled with merchant cities, mysterious islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns.

PlayOn has previewed the first few hours of the game and from what we've played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is certainly impressive. CD Projekt RED have further refined the superb gameplay of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for this third outing to provide a rich, living game world full of vicious monsters, magical spells and brutal combat.

The new trailer introduces players to the world of The Witcher 3; to the people, places and monsters in the game. It provides a sneak-peek at some of the game's amazing visuals and an insight into what it is like to walk the path of a witcher.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is released on 19th May for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
