Review: Belkin Miniglow Optical Mouse

Sun, 1st Feb 2009
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The MiniGlow Optical Mouse couldn’t be more aptly named; it’s a tiny mouse with a retractable cable that has a gentle pulsing glow which runs around the body of the mouse and through the scroll wheel.

Pros: It’s driverless, and thanks to the retractable cable, immensely portable. Tracking with the mouse was generally very good over most surfaces, except...

Cons: The tiny size makes it a hand cramp candidate for many users. The glowing effect is initially cool, but we’d hate to be stuck on a plane next to someone using it while we’re trying to sleep.

Verdict: Cool concept, but possibly the world’s most anti-social mouse.
