Review: Quicken Personal Plus 2009

01 Mar 2009

The latest update to Quicken’s personal accounting software includes access to share prices, a superannuation calculator and personal finances centre that gives you easy access to all your data in one hit.

Pros: The redesigned interface is slick and simple to read, even for non-accounting types. There are some new features, such as the carbon footprint calculator and savings planner that are surprisingly handy.

Cons: Like most finance software, if you’re happy with older versions, it might make more financial sense to stay put. And like most Quicken products, registration involves annoying product activation, which we don’t like much.

Verdict: An excellent financial utility with a few new neat features.
