FYI, this story is more than a year old

Trade Me has announced its daily deal offering, named simply Daily Deal, will from November 1 be powered by daily deal experts 1-day.

The partnership is big news for 1-day, which launched in 2007.

Race Louden, 1-day's sales and marketing manager, says the deals on Trade Me will be different from those on 1-day.

"We will source products specifically for Trade Me members,” Louden says.

"We're looking forward to getting it all up and running next month with some special launch deals.

1-day will be responsible for sourcing the deals, providing customer service, and delivering products, while Trade Me will contribute its massive audience of 2.8 million members and 700,000 daily visitors.

Trade Me launched Daily Deals in June last year, and Craig Jordan, head of marketplace for Trade Me, says the new arrangement will be good news for Trade Me members.

"The 1-day team are experts in this area and we know they will do an awesome job,” Jordan says.
