US launches torrent crackdown

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), part of the Department of Homeland Security, has seized over 70 online domains.
ICE spokeswoman Cori Bassett said, ICE had "executed court ordered seizure warrants against a number of domain names but that as the action was part of an ongoing investigation, no further information could be releaed.
Visitors to the sites that have been targeted are now met with the message, “This site has been seized by ICE - Homeland Security Investigations, pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court."
Sites affected include dvdcollectionsale.com, torrent-finder.com, handbagcom.com, rapgodfathers.com and others.
