Mon, 7th Feb 2011

FYI, this story is more than a year old

The internet is awash with rumours that Apple is set to release its latest software update - iOS 4.3 - on February 14th, otherwise known as Valentine's Day if you're in a relationship.

New features expected to be seen in the iOS 4.3 update include AirPlay support for third-party native apps and Web apps, an option to configure the iPad's slide switch as mute or rotation lock and Apple's Personal Hotspot function, which turns the iPhone into a portable wireless modem.

Some outlets are reporting that the update will launch at 10:00am PST in the US on February 14th, which probably means it'll be the 15th here.

Either way, we'll let you know when you can download it.
