Voting open for favourite Rugby World Cup moments
Fri, 16th Oct 2015
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Rugby World Cup fans are going to be able to vote on a new category at the World Rugby Awards, via a hash tag on Facebook.

Following a partnership between World Rugby and Facebook, world cup fans will be able to vote for the Rugby World Cup Best Match Moment.

To cast a vote, Facebook users will need to post about their standout memory - from a shortlist, mind you - on the social media site, and include the hash tag associated with that world cup moment.

The shortlist includes standout team and individual performance from four tournaments over the last 20 years. The award is to celebrate th game going professional in 1995.

The shortlisted moments and associated hash tags are:

· Japan's historic 34-32 defeat of South Africa at RWC 2015
#RWCJAPAN

· Jonny Wilkinson's RWC 2003-winning drop goal against Australia #RWCJONNY

· France's comeback to beat the All Blacks at RWC 1999
#RWCFRANCE

· Jonah Lomu's bruising performance against England at RWC 1995 #RWCLOMU

Voting is open now and fans have until the kick-off of the Rugby World Cup 2015 final to have their say. Fans can vote once per day during this period.

If someone posts more than once a day, only one vote will be counted.

The winners of the World Rugby Awards will be announced at a star-studded ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London on Sunday, 1 November.
