FYI, this story is more than a year old

Following last week's report on the fourth generation iPhone that was lost in a bar, US police have raided the writer's home and seized his computer equipment.

The new iPhone prototype was reportedly left in a bar by an Apple employee after which Gizmodo is said to have paid to acquire the device. It was disguised to look like a 3GS, except it had a host of different features.

While its authenticity was debated, the blog took apart the device to find a number of Apple-branded components that seem real.

Police raided editor Jason Chen's home in Fremont, Calif. last week, seizing computers and other gadgets, as detectives look into how he obtained the device, which he posted several pictures of online.
