Sony Pictures bids for rights to Steve Jobs bio
Rumours have begun that Sony Pictures – the studio responsible for Facebook film, The Social Network – is making a bid for the rights to make a biopic about iconic Apple founder, Steve Jobs.
Although Jobs was formerly CEO of Disney's computer animation studio, Pixar, it is thought Sony is the studio best equipped to handle the film, which will probably be based largely on Walter Isaacson's forthcoming biography, titled simply Steve Jobs.
There has been an extraordinary outpouring of grief around the world since the passing of Jobs last week. With the new rumour comes the de rigueur question of who would play Steve Jobs in the film.
The first question is whether one person can span the eventful life of the successful magnate, or whether the role would need to be shared.
For the older Jobs, our picks are Ralph Fiennes or Stanley Tucci; for the younger, James McAvoy or Jason Schwartzman (although Ashton Kutcher does bear a striking resemblance).
Who do you think should play Steve Jobs?
