Dynabook has unveiled its latest product, the Portege X30W-M, a 2-in-1 convertible laptop targeting business professionals.

This new device brings together a host of features intended to cater to the needs of modern work environments, including artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities facilitated by a dedicated Copilot key. This key offers users swift access to AI-driven applications, boosting both productivity and efficiency.

Dynabook's Portege X30W-M combines a lightweight design, starting from 989 grams, with powerful performance specifications. It houses an Intel Core Ultra processor and offers a 13.3-inch multi-touch display that supports transitions between laptop and tablet modes. Additionally, it includes Wacom digital pen support, Intel Arc Graphics, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5x onboard memory complemented by Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

According to Angela Walker, General Manager at Dynabook ANZ, the device is specially designed for those who require both power and flexibility. "The Portege X30W-M is for professionals who need the power of a full function laptop and the flexibility of a tablet, all in one lightweight device," Walker explained. "We designed this laptop to support the evolving needs of today's businesses, where creativity, connectivity and security are paramount."

Enhancing the user experience are Harman Kardon speakers, which are tailored for high-quality sound output, making the Portege X30W-M suitable for professional presentations and virtual meetings. Walker emphasised the device's balance of security and portability, noting, "The X30W-M is not only ultra light but it's ultra secure, ensuring users can tackle important tasks without any compromise."

Incorporating MIL-STD-810H standards, the Portege X30W-M assures durability with its magnesium alloy/ABS chassis and Corning Gorilla Glass display. This robust build is designed to withstand daily usage demands while protecting user data with features such as a self-encrypting drive and optional biometric facial recognition.

Walker added, "With the growing importance of data security, our proprietary BIOS and advanced security features provide peace of mind for businesses managing sensitive information. The Portege X30W-M reflects Dynabook's continued commitment to delivering reliable, secure and high-performance devices to our customers."

The Portege X30W-M is also packed with features supporting remote work, including a 2.0 FHD webcam for clear video chats and an 8MP world-facing camera for field content capture.

Other technical highlights of the device include Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, as well as biometric security integrated into Dynabook's proprietary BIOS. The starting price for the Portege X30W-M is USD $2,240, and it is available for purchase immediately.
