Full PSN restoration planned by month's end
Tue, 10th May 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old
According to a report posted by Bloomberg, Sony's deadline for the full restoration of the PlayStation Network shut down after an external intrusion is May 31st.
Shigenori Yoshida, a Tokyo-based spokesperson for the company, told Bloomberg that the company is implementing an improved security system, and that Sony aims to restart the system by May 31st (most likely June 1st in New Zealand). Of course, partial elements of the PlayStation Network may indeed go live before this deadline, which pertains to the network's full restoration.
When the May 31st deadline is reached, it will be close to six weeks since the network first went down.
