LG partners with Xbox to launch Gaming Portal on TVs

LG Electronics has revealed a partnership with Xbox that aims to provide access to hundreds of games through the Xbox app on selected LG Smart TVs.

The collaboration introduces the Gaming Portal on LG Smart TVs, which serves as a comprehensive hub for seamless navigation and personalised gaming. The Gaming Portal will enable users to access Xbox Game Pass Ultimate directly from their TV, along with an extensive range of PC and console games from leading industry partners.

Chris Jo, Senior Vice President of Platform Business at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, commented, "We are thrilled to announce the partnership with Xbox, which aims to enrich the gaming experience on LG Smart TVs with a broader selection of popular games. The Gaming Portal will provide users with a seamless, convenient and exciting way to enhance the gaming experience on LG Smart TVs."

For those immersed in gaming, LG Smart TV users will soon have the opportunity to explore the Gaming Portal and gain direct access to an array of games with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This includes well-known titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and upcoming releases like Avowed. With Game Pass Ultimate, users can also stream select Xbox-owned games, including NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy.

The Gaming Portal, designed to enhance user accessibility, operates through LG's webOS and is accessible from the Home Screen. Its interface ensures users can discover and enjoy games effortlessly by offering an overview that includes a list of cloud gaming apps, webOS app games suitable for remote control, recently played titles, the top 10 popular games, editor's picks, and other curated gaming experiences.

Access to the Gaming Portal will require an internet connection and an Xbox subscription. Details regarding service and country availability and specific TV model compatibility will be released later.
