Samsung debuts Vision AI TVs and wireless soundbars
Samsung has launched its most advanced line-up of televisions and audio solutions to date, featuring its new Vision AI technology, expanded Neo QLED 8K and 4K ranges, and enhanced soundbars - all developed with New Zealanders' evolving viewing needs in mind.
"While outstanding picture quality and immersive sound remain essential, today's Kiwi consumers are looking for much more when choosing a TV," said Tura Gim, Group Head of TV & Digital Appliances, Samsung New Zealand.
"Features like seamless access to a wide range of apps, enhanced connectivity, and user-friendly design have become increasingly important."
"Samsung's Vision AI brings all of these elements together, offering intelligent, adaptive capabilities that redefine what a TV can do - delivering a more personalised and autonomous experience with every use."
Vision AI is central to Samsung's 2025 TV range, offering AI-enhanced picture and sound performance that adapts to the viewer. The technology works by learning individual viewing habits and automatically adjusting settings over time. Supported by up to seven years of One UI Tizen upgrades, the system is designed to remain relevant and secure well into the future.
The flagship model in the new range is the Neo QLED 8K QN990F, which includes Samsung's most powerful processor yet—the NQ8 AI Gen3.
This processor enables 8K AI Upscaling Pro, turning SD, HD, and 4K content into sharper and smoother visuals. Its Motion Xcelerator 240Hz feature also delivers fluid motion clarity, ideal for fast-paced sports and gaming.
With a Wireless One Connect Box capable of transmitting an 8K 120Hz signal up to 10 metres, users can maintain a clutter-free setup. The display itself is housed in a near bezel-less Infinity Air Design, just 12.9mm thin.
The QN990F comes in 85", 75", and 65" screen sizes, while its sibling model, the QN900F, adds a wall-mountable Metal Frame finish and Motion Xcelerator 165Hz. Both models include Object Tracking Sound+ and Dolby Atmos for a dynamic audio experience.
Also featured is Samsung's Neo QLED 4K range, the company's most comprehensive 4K line-up to date. The QN90F leads this segment with an upgraded NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, Neo Quantum HDR+, and Glare-Free technology.
With screen sizes up to 98 inches, these models also include Motion Xcelerator 165Hz for smooth visuals and Supersize Picture Enhancer to maintain clarity on ultra-large displays.
The Neo QLED 4K line-up is available in four model series - QN90F, QN85F, QN80F, and QN70F - with sizes ranging from 55 to 100 inches and features tailored for varying performance needs and budgets.
Samsung has also updated its The Frame lifestyle TV series. The new The Frame Pro introduces Neo QLED 4K display technology for richer colours and deeper contrast. It is the first Art TV to offer 4K wireless transmission via a Wireless One Connect Box and the only one to achieve ArtfulColour validation from Pantone.
Designed to blend into home décor, The Frame Pro includes a Matte Display, Slim-Fit wall mount, and motion and brightness sensors that help conserve energy. Its 144Hz dynamic refresh rate supports smooth visuals for both content and gaming, while automatically reducing energy use in Art Mode.
For users looking to elevate their audio experience, Samsung has launched new Q-Series soundbars, headlined by the HW-Q990F and HW-QS700F.
The Q990F features an 11.1.4 channel system and a 4.0.2 rear speaker configuration, powered by Dynamic Bass Control.
Meanwhile, the convertible QS700F offers 3.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos performance, with a built-in gyro-sensor that adapts the sound based on its orientation - whether wall-mounted or table-placed.
Both models come equipped with Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound, and Q-Symphony, which allows the soundbar to work in harmony with compatible Samsung TVs.
Samsung's 2025 range is not just about performance but also about a unified ecosystem. All Neo QLED and QLED TVs now offer access to the Samsung Art Store, previously exclusive to The Frame.
This enables users to transform their screens into personal galleries. Additionally, all 2025 TVs come with Samsung TV Plus, offering over 100 subscription-free channels, and Samsung Daily+, which integrates productivity and lifestyle apps into the TV experience.
For added protection, all 2025 models now feature Samsung Knox, the company's multi-layer security platform. With regular updates and smart home integration via SmartThings, users can monitor and manage devices while ensuring their data remains secure.
"By placing a Vision AI TV at the centre of your connected home, you can enhance its intelligence and security with every additional SmartThings-compatible device," said Mr Gim. "This creates a seamless, secure, and elevated living experience."
Samsung's latest TV and soundbar models are now available from leading retailers across New Zealand. Pricing remains at the discretion of individual stockists.
