16 May 14

Sony Computer Entertainment New Zealand has announced today the new slim PS Vita model will be coming to the country in June.

The new slim model of the PS Vita is approximately 20-percent slimmer and 15-percent lighter than the original version. Not only that, but it also comes with a 1GB internal memory card and new a high-definition liquid crystal display (LCD) screen.

The battery life for the new PS Vita has also been improved. The original model had a battery life of 3 to 5 hours from gameplay, but the new model increases that to 4 to 6 hours. The new model can still play all your favourite PS Vita games as it's just a redesign and not an entirely new console.

The new slimmer PS Vita will be coming to New Zealand on June 4th, at a recommended retail price (RRP) of NZD $329.95.
