FYI, this story is more than a year old

Navigating the education space in the modern world can be a tricky business. Find out how you can achieve improved learning outcomes for students at New Zealand's very own 21st Century Learning Design (21CLD) workshop.

Sponsored by HP, Cyclone's 21CLD workshops are highly interactive and learner-centered - designed to be a helpful resource which links closely to NZC Key Competencies.

Educators can learn how to help students through:

  • Analysing and 'coding' learning activities to see how deeply they integrate 21st century skills (KC's)
  • Collaborating to upgrade their own planning to provide deeper 21st century skills development in their learners
  • Examining the potential impact of these learning activities on students' achievements

The workshop helps educators critically reflect on their practice. It encourages them to become active and engaged knowledge-builders who adopt, model and utilise the skills they wish to instil in their students, with a foundation of 'teaching as inquiry'.

The workshop is best suited to educators ranging from primary through to secondary schools and tertiary institutions, as well as teachers in training.

These examples will be discussed in the course and attendees will apply the principles of 21CLD to create similar experiences for their students.
