New iPhone 3GS 8GB model coming alongside the iPhone 4’s launch this Friday.

Just in case there was still any confusion, Apple has reconfirmed that iPhone 4 will be available in 17 more countries this Friday, including here in New Zealand.

According to a release from Apple this morning, iPhone 4 will be available for outright purchase for a recommended retail price starting from NZD$1099 inc GST. Oddly it wasn't stated which version the RRP applies to, but we'd imagine it's the 16GB model.

The firm is also launching a smaller 3 GS model. “A new iPhone 3GS 8GB model will be available for outright purchase for just NZD$899 inc GST,” said Apple.

Expect more details on plans, bumper cases and white versions later this week.
