LG unveils innovative MX platform at CES 2025 in Vegas

Fri, 3rd Jan 2025

LG Electronics is unveiling its latest mobility solution, the LG Mobility Experience (MX) platform, at CES 2025.

The "Lifestyle Solution for Mobility" concept vehicle provides a glimpse into how LG intends to integrate the AI Home experience into the realm of mobility. It features a full suite of LG's smart life solutions, transforming the vehicle cabin into a versatile, adaptive environment.

The MX platform represents LG's approach to redefining traditional transportation, aligning with current industry trends that prioritise personalisation of vehicle spaces. The modular design of the platform allows the vehicle to serve as an extension of the home, a private media lounge, or a creative studio.

The vehicle offers a dual-cabin design, comprising of a front driver's cabin and a rear customisable experience space. This space can be adapted to serve multiple purposes, configured to meet varied user preferences. It can be divided into multifunctional zones or converted into bespoke lifestyle spaces such as a business lounge or creator studio.

LG plans to implement the platform as a subscription service, aiming to make it accessible to a wider audience. This approach allows users to select appliance combinations that best meet their needs and preferences.

The MX platform is powered by LG's AI Home solution, ThinQ ON, enabling users to control conditions within the vehicle and avail themselves of lifestyle services such as daily schedule management and information briefings. Additional services, including those provided by external entities like food and beverage order, laundry, and hotel booking, may be integrated to further enhance the user experience.

Attendees at CES 2025 in Las Vegas will have the opportunity to explore the MX platform in LG's "Lifestyle Solution for Mobility" experience space. This setting will showcase various customisable solutions, integrating LG devices and IoT technology, to offer a vision of future mobility solutions and hybrid living spaces.

"The innovative MX platform, based on the concept of "Space-as-an-Experience," leverages LG's strength in appliances and AI Home technology to present a new direction for mobility experiences," said Lyu Jae-cheol, President of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. "Pursuing our Zero Labor Home vision, we will continue to connect and expand customer experiences across all aspects of daily life."
