Phones, iPads and watch accessories oh my: Apple unveils new lineup and we've got all the pics

22 Mar 17

Apple has announced a whole bunch of exciting devices and accessories this morning, including a new phone, new iPad, Apple Watch accessories and more.

The tech giant unveiled a brand new colour for  the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, a bright red edition designed to support its ongoing effort to contribute to HIV/AIDS relief, as part of its partnership with (RED).

(RED) does meaningful work by offering access to HIV/AIDS relief programs across Sub-Saharan Africa. Two thirds of the world’s HIV-positive population live in this region.

The new iPad, also unveiled today, is an update on the 9.7 inch, Apple's most popular iPad.

“New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it," says Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

On top of the phone and tablet, Apple has also released a brand new range of Apple Watch bands, inspired by the Northern Hemisphere's current spring season.

As well as that, the tech giant introduced Clips, a new app that allows users to create expressive videos on iPhone and iPad.

Moreover, Apple's Swift Playgrounds, its popular app for learning to code, is now available in five additional languages; simplified Chinese, Japanese, French, German and Latin American Spanish.
