Sony's free music video streaming service is available to New Zealand PS3 owners from this Friday, December 11th. The application, to be made available on the PSN Store, is developed by Adrian Workman, a New Zealand ex-pat.

Unsurprisingly, many New Zealand artists are represented on VidZone. The line-up already includes Ladyhawke, Smashproof, Dave Dobbyn, Kids in Space, Minuit, Bic Runga, and Savage with more to follow.

Major music labels have already come on board with VidZone, featuring a wide variety of international artists to produce a digital library containing over three weeks' worth of music videos if played back to back.

Features include custom playlists and the ability to control it remotely with a PSP (PlayStation Portable) or Sony Aino mobile.
