Raupuna International Raceway added to Project CARS
Popular racing simulator, Project CARS, receives its first DLC add-on circuit enabling players to take their cars for a spin around New Zealand's own Raupuna International Raceway, just outside of Christchurch.
Also known as Mike Pero Motorsport Park, Raupuna is a tight little circuit with enough turns to test the mettle of even the most disciplined driver. Comprising of five unique layouts, Ruapuna Park is New Zealand's premier motor racing facility. Hosting some of New Zealand's most exciting racing events, including the prestigious Lady Wigram Trophy and an annual round of the New Zealand V8s series, the track's main 3.3 kilometre layout runs in an anti-clockwise direction. The track requires careful skill and patience in order to pick your overtaking spot without causing a pile up.
Set with Castle Hill Peak as a backdrop, this is a beautiful circuit- especially in the evening sun, showcasing the spectacular light unique to the Canterbury plans.
As well as a new circuit, the Raupuna DLC includes three new Audi cars: the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro, six-time American Le Mans Series winner Audi R8 LMP900, and the 1989 Audi 90 IMSA GTO.
All players will additionally be able to get behind the wheel of the coveted and limited run Audi A1 Quattro with delivery of their second free Car. Also if that wasn't enough, the second pack of Community Liveries includes an amazing community-created livery for the Ford Escort Mk 1 as well as six real-life DTM liveries for the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution2.
Project CARS scored an impressive 9.5/10 in the NetGuide review a couple of months back and it's great to see some NZ content join the Aussie Bathurst circuit among the world's top racing destinations.
This special bit of DLC showcasing a great NZ circuit is just one more reason why racing fans ought to check out this superb racing game.
