FYI, this story is more than a year old

Trees? Those are a thing of the past! Japanese manufacturer TOTO has designed a product called Reynobond with EcoClean, which will be used to construct buildings and is supposed to help get rid of smog and other pollution. When the product is exposed to sunlight, the electrons in the coating transfer energy to water and oxygen to create free radicals – oxidisers that will destroy organic matter like smog and pollution. The Reynobond is also said to attack and eliminate nitrogen oxide, a common air pollutant. The team who developed the product claim 10,000 square feet of Reynobond with EcoClean is equivalent to roughly 80 trees and is enough to neutralize the pollution caused by about four cars a day!
