Telecom moves into Warehouse Stationery stores
Telecom has made a major expansion to its retail presence, launching a partnership with Warehouse Stationery that will see the company's handsets on sale in all 55 of the retailer's stores.
The rollout will take place over the next month, supported by giveaways at selected outlets via the Classic Hits radio station.
Jason Paris, chief marketing officer for Telecom, says as well as supporting Telecom's strategy for increasing its retail footprint, the move offers another avenue for encouraging CDMA customers to upgrade to XT in time for the closure of the old network on July 31.
"As the only mobile provider in Warehouse Stationery stores with live devices, customers can try this network experience firsthand before purchasing," Paris says.
"Our mass market retailer partnerships are a crucial sales channel for us.
Warehouse Stationery already sells handsets from 2degrees and Telecom sub-brand Skinny.
