Fri, 21st Oct 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

A laptop 16mm thick and a tablet weighing just 399g will head up Toshiba’s consumer lineup, the company has announced.

Both devices will arrive in the next few weeks, heading up a range of approximately 20 products.

Leading the way is the Satellite Z830 ‘Ultrabook’, which offers a 13.3-inch screen and 2nd-generation Intel Core processor, but weighs just 1.12kg.  The device will retail for $1999.

Next to that is the AT1S0 tablet unveiled in September, which will retail for $699.

The other notable introduction is the DX730 ‘All-In-One’ desktop PC, featuring a 23-inch full HD touchscreen, ONKYO speakers with sub-woofers, blu-ray and DVD drives, and an integrated digital TV tuner. With an Intel Core i5 processor, 6Gb of RAM and a 2TB hard drive, this unit is priced at $2899.

Plenty of refreshed models have been added to the rest of the range as well – go here for more.
