Dreame Technology releases AUD $2799 X40 Ultra robotic vacuum
Dreame Technology has launched the X40 Ultra robotic vacuum, incorporating a range of advanced features designed to streamline home cleaning. Priced at AUD $2799, the device promises to deliver high efficiency and reduced manual intervention.
The X40 Ultra showcases several noteworthy functionalities including a fully automated cleaning station, an anti-tangle brush, and intelligent mapping technology. According to Mike Eagle, Regional Manager (ANZ) at Dreame Technology, the product is a result of detailed consumer research. "Our latest innovation, the X40 Ultra, represents one of our most advanced robotic vacuum cleaners that has been developed after extensive research into the needs of our consumers. Our customers want a robotic vacuum that effectively cleans corners and edges, requires minimal post-cleaning maintenance, and utilises intelligent technology to accurately navigate their homes with ease," Eagle stated.
Among its unique features, the X40 Ultra employs the world's first bionic robotic arm technology, which enhances its cleaning capabilities, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. The device also includes an autonomous self-cleaning base station, intelligent algorithm-driven path planning, and sophisticated obstacle recognition technology. These features collectively aim to provide a comprehensive cleaning solution with minimal user intervention.
One of the key innovations in the X40 Ultra is its extendable SideReach brushes, designed to tackle corners and tight spaces. These brushes can lift up to 10mm and extend to clean hard-to-reach areas, including the undersides of curved furniture and high corners. The MopExtend RoboSwing technology ensures the device can reach hidden debris under low-profile furniture by extending its mopping capabilities by up to 4 cm.
In terms of stain removal, the X40 Ultra is equipped with OmniDirt detection technology. This feature allows the vacuum's RGB camera to identify and clean stubborn stains using upgraded scrubbing techniques. The device also includes a turbidity sensor, which assesses the cleanliness of water and ensures effective mopping by rewashing as necessary. Notably, this feature is only active in the CleanGenius Mode.
The X40 Ultra's self-cleaning base station further simplifies maintenance. The station is capable of washing, drying, and replacing the mop pads, as well as refilling the water tank and emptying the vacuum's dustbin. Users are required to empty the base station's 3.2-litre dust bag approximately every 75 days. Additionally, the upgraded duo-scraper mechanism cleans both the oscillating mop pads and the washboard simultaneously, eliminating the need for manual intervention. The mop pads are also blow-dried for two hours post-cleaning to prevent mildew and odour formation.
The vacuum's powerful suction capability, rated at 12,000Pa, allows it to effectively collect hair, dirt, dust, and other debris. The optimised air duct design ensures smooth airflow and prevents blockages during cleaning sessions. The device also offers an optional anti-tangle TriCut Brush, which enhances its performance by slicing tangled hair and depositing it directly into the dust bag. This accessory aims to reduce the tangled hair issue often exacerbated by increased suction power.
The Dreame X40 Ultra is now available for purchase on Amazon, Dreame Technology's official website, and at retail outlets such as Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi. Along with a three-year warranty, customers will receive a bonus accessories pack that includes the TriCut Brush.
